In most cases deposits are refundable. But, if you signed an agreement (lease) tha tsay sotherwise, your deposit may not have to be given back. You should read the agreement, to see what it says about the deposit. You may be able to sue in Small Claims Court for the depsit, but you might be vulnerable to a countersuit for unpaid rent.If you cannot figure out, then take it to an attorney in your area. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation.

Good luck
