Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

My sister co-signed school loan total sum of $105 thousand dollars for her daughter. If my sister or her daughter doesn't have any money to pay back, any immediate family (mother or brother) could be held liable for her debt?

As an uncle, you are not legally liable for your neice's student loan debt, unless you claim her as a dependent for tax or federal benefit purposes, or are otherwise contactually obligated for her education or debt. This is the same for her other uncles, aunst, cousins, grandparents, and probably her father.

Good luck.
