Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri
I am being sued by a collection agency for a charged off credit card. I am on social security, and am married. However, I was not married when I got the credit card. I know they can not touch my social security but can they go after my husband for the money?

Generally they cannot go after your husband for payment. But, if he was an authorized user, he may be liable. Also, if they get a judgment agaisnt you, they may be able to execute against some non-social security assets that you have comingled with your husbands' assets.
Good luck
