travel contract with un-consented use of credit card

we were planning a trip but i got ahead of myself and booked plans on expedia.com on my mother's credit card two days ago not knowing we could no longer make the trip now the airline will not refund my mother's credit card for the tickets and she figuritively speaking wants to ring my neck

The terms of use for those sites do spell out the fact that the air fare is normally non-refundable. I doubt there is much legal help anyone could offer you.
