wage garnishment

i have a lawsuit from a credit card bill i cannot pay. can they garnish my pay or freeze my checking account?

The creditor can garnish your wages and execute on your assets only after the creditor obtains a judgment in the lawsuit against you. I would strongly suggest hiring an attorney to represent you in that case in order to avoid a judgment being entered against you if at all possible. Good luck.
