Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

wage garnishment reimbursement

About a year ago I started being garnished for a debt through my wages. After about a year of this I found that being head of household meant they were only allowed to be taking 10% of my income when the whole time they had been taking out 25%. Am I entitled to any of this back?

Re: wage garnishment reimbursement

The claim of head of household is prospective. That means it is only a reduction after YOU make the claim. If you do not raise the claim, no one else is responsible for figuring out if you qualify for head of household status.

Good Luck
