Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I just won a small claims suit and contacted the defendant regarding payment. She stated she does not intend to pay. What options do I have to collect this debt and if it is uncollectable, can it be written off my taxes? She is on disability yet pays 400-600 a month to support her 26 year old son who does not live with her and her bank accounts have someone else's name on the account also even though they do no use those accounts. That situation exists only because she could not get one in her name only due to bounced checks in the past.

You may seek to ececute on the bank account. But, the judgment debtor may be able to have the funds in the account declared exempt, if she can show that only disability payments go into that account.

Good luck
