You can start by contacting law schools you are interested in. People from many disciplines become lawyers. However, a solid grounding in English is good. Knowledge of a second language such as Spanish widens your client base. Familiarity with computer search engines is increasingly necessary. Speech, debate, rhetoric and public speaking are all helpful. Most of all, don't go into law unless you really love it and don't mind studying -- I have enough competition already! Seriously, best wishes and good luck.
