Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

I have a 19 year old son. He is a first year college student, going to school to be a teacher/coach. Good kid, goes to church, etc. My issue is he is dating a 15 year old girl. He just turned 19. She will 16 this summer. The whole situation scares me to death. Her parents dont like the age difference either but they dont hate it so much that they forbid the relationship. As a parent, my first line of teaching is abstinance. I also want to be realistic and would normally stress the importance of protection at HIS age. It is HER age that is my problem. Can you tell me what the laws are in Missouri? I've read conflicting information regarding the fact that he is under 21. I want to arm myself with all the information I can in order to scare him as much as possible (for lack of better term!) I'm not at all certain they are sexually active. I just want my facts correct so I can pass that information to him about how serious this could be. Thanks for much

In the first place, the girl is too young to legally consent to sexual relations. So, if your son does have sex with this girl he will be technically violating the law and risking criminal prosecution. This will not be true when the girl reaches the age of eighteen years.
