Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

I am being accused of a terrible crime that I did not commit. I am not in jail yet because they are still investigating but I was told by the police that I was going to be required to take a polygraph and refusal would mean automatic admission of guilt in the court. I have a few questions. 1: Do I have to take? 2: Is he correct that refusal is looked at as a confession? 3: I am shaking and trembling while trying to type this, I am terrified. I I feel this way during the test, can it register me as deceptive when I am not?

You are not required to talk to the Police, let alone take a polygraph test. Neither the refusal to take a polygraph test, nor the refusal to answer questions can be used as an admission of guilt.

You need to consult directly with a criminal defense attorney in your area. You need advice as soon as possible, if you believe you're going to be charged with a crime.

Good luck

The above answer is absolutely correct! You have the right to remain silent under the 5th Amendment to the United State's Constitution. Use it! These police are trying to trick you. You must not take any polygraph. You must not make any statements or answer any questions for the police. Consult with, and hire an attorney. You may contact me directly if you do not already have an attorney.
