Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

Answering police questions

Police officers keep calling me wanting me to come see them and are coming to my door wanting to talk but they won't say why. I witnessed a crime and gave a statement and am afraid to talk w/o an attorney, should I go with them?

Re: Answering police questions

If you don't feel comfortable talking with the police without hiring an attorney then hire one. If you do not want to go with them for questioning, politely decline. If you think that the police are now looking at you as a suspect, the police will ask questions to try and build a case against you. If they had enough evidence to charge you they would do so and take you whether you wanted to go or not.
