Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
Can I be arrested twice for the same crime?
Hi, thanks for taking the time to answer my question! Can I be arrested twice for the same crime? I was arrested and released because I was going to work for the police. Is it true to assume that the next step will be to go to court, or will they arrest me again?
Thanks, jeff

Yes, you can be arrested twice. You do have a Constitutional right against "Double Jeopardy" which means you can't be put on trial twice for the same crime under certain circumstances. If you do not already have an attorney, my advice would be to get one and fast!
