Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
i was arrested on a property damage charge and the only evidence against me is a facebook message stating that i was at the scene of the crime, is this enough evidence to convict me?
1 Answer from Attorneys
An attorney can not provide a competent answer to your question with only the information you provide. If you already have an attorney, you should certainly discuss this with him or her. If you do not have an atttornrey, you should hire one. The attorney will conduct discovery and obtain from the prosecutor all of the evidene that the prosecutor intends to use against you, and that you are entitled to under the law. Only then can an attorney advise you whether or not, in the attorney's professional opinion, the evidence would be sufficient. If you are not already being represented, you may contact me. I have handled hundreds of criminal cases in various counties throughout Missouri in the thirty-four years that I have been practicing law.
