Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
Bad Check
I am new here and I have a question. I wrote a bad check last year and thought that it had already cleared and everything was ok. Well, it was not. I have to appear in court this month for a check I had no idea did not clear and I was never given the opportunity to pay it off by the prosecuting attorney nor did I recieve a letter from him. Now how should I plea when I go to court? I am in the processing of trying to get a lawyer in my town. But court is right around the corner and I have never been in trouble before until now. PLease any ADVISE please I need asap.
