I borrowd money from my old boss i have paid her a 1600 payment and then 3800 that was agreed to as a final payment and it stated on the check if cashed acct is paid in full. The past employed cashed it and is harrassing since then and I have another 2000 to her sunce Jan, now she says I owe her another 6500, I only borrowed 8500. Is this legal for her to do or is the acct paid in full. I have asked her for the copies of the payment sheet. And she has refused to give it to me.

According to the figures you provided, you hav epaid $7400 and still owe at least $1100. You prior designation on the back of the one payment probably won't protect you. If the amount owed had been in dispute, it might hav eprotected you. But, you made another payment, so you probably can't rely on the potision that it was supposed to the be the last payment. Unless you made an agreement to pay interest, you probably don't owe any other thatn the $1100.

Good luck
