Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
Business question
I was a co-owner of a business for nine years. I set up the business and ran it making all the purchasing decisions without question from my usiness partners in all that time. I applied for and recieved 5 different credit cards for the business in my name. My two business partners each had credit cards from those accounts. We all used the credit cards at times for personal purchases without question from the other owners. Now my partners have decided that I used the credit cards inappropriately for my own prupose and have forced me to resign. Am I guilty of a criminal offense?

Re: Business question
Yours does not sound like a case that a prosecutor would take up for criminal charges. There may be criminal codes that you have violated, but only a judge or jury can determine that. Unless the amounts in question are very large, it seems unlikely that you will be charged with any crime. Especially, if you make restitution.
Since they have forced you to resing, it appears more likely that you partners may try to come after you in civil court. You did not provide enough information to dtermine if that is likely to happen or succeed.
