Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
change of venue
I was an observer in a court room recently, where the Judge, Prosecuting attorney and public defender were joking about and laughing out loud about the case i was there to hear. I am now being ask to sign an afidavit stating what i heard them saying. In hopes that this case could be moved to another county if i did this. Could this help get this case moved to another county? we are in the state of Missouri.
thanks!

Re: change of venue
Yes, it is possible that your testimony (affidavit) about what you observed could influence the decision on a change of venue request.
