Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
I have a charge in Missouri which is about 3 years old for Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana { Felony C RSMo: 195.202 } and is currently in warrant status. I have been living in Casper, Wyoming for years now and am attending college to earn an AAS degree in nursing. I just found out that there will be a background check when I go before the wyoming state board of nursing to obtain a license. How should I handle this? I'm now worried that I wont be able to get a license.

The warrant for a drug charge will likely prevent you from getting a nursing license. You need to contact legal counsel in or near the Missouri county where the warrant court. They may be able to investigate the extent of the case and tell you what your options are. It is nearly impossible to fully predict that with a general description. If you need a referral, you may contact me by email.
