Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
My daughter's friend was driving her car and stopped for speeding. When they pulled over the police searched her car and found Xanax on my daughter and meth on the driver. They did not arrest them, they took them to the court house and fingerprinted them and let them go. No charges are showing on case net and the officer gave my daughter a plain piece of paper with a court date and time on it. No tickets..? Is this normal for the state of Missouri?

Depending upon what entity arrested her,(I.e. police, sheriff's deputy. Highway patrol) she may get a seperate Summons in the mail. She shouldn't miss as her court date. She may email me if she is interested in representation.
Good luck
