Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
domestic voilence
My girlfriend was charged with domestic violence and I do not want to press charges, how can I help her out of this? how can I get the court date changed from 12/13/07 to 01/25/08 or moved up to 12/7/07--i am a professor and I am leaving the country and want this resolved

There is one simple way that will probably get the court date changed. I assume that you are to be called as a witness. Tell the prosecutor that you will be out of the country on the day the case has been set for. They will most likely ask the Court to continue the case.
