Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
felony a
I was charge with a Felony Assault A 1st degree for trying to hit my boyfriend with my car at his other females house after she came out of the house and punched me in the face. The car never hit him and he or her have no injuries. I'm the only one that was hit. Will I go to jail. The police charged me with a B but at the bond reduction hearing it was increased to an A felony.

Re: felony a
It's fairly unusual for a charge to be upgraded at a bond reduction hearing, at least in the counties where I regularly practice. What's the charge?Assault with a deadly weapon? Are you represented by legal counsel? If so, consult with your attorney. If not, you need to hire the very best criminal defense attorney you can afford.
