Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
My friend was arrested 2 months ago and put in jail without being charged. How long can someone stay in jail before being charged?

Your friend needs to seek legal counsel immediately. If you're their friend, perhaps you'll hire an attorney for them. If an inmate does not raise the issue, they could be held for a long time without being charged. But, nearly every appellate Court would say two months is too long without being charged.
