Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
My friend has 594 days of "probation credit" that he would like to have applied to his sentence. He is a non-violent offender (burglary), but is serving a 12 year sentence (his brother actually committed the crime, he just drove which makes him just as guilty). So we are trying to get this applied and neither of us know what we are doing. All he can find out is that it needs to go through a judge, but there is nothing to say what form or if it HAS to be a lawyer that files the motion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
