If there is a warrant stemming from charges out of Missouri and the person charged is arrested in a state other than Missouri then the person will be held for extradition. Extradition is when a prisoner is transported from the state he/she is arrested in to the state where the charges were issued. Generally, it takes a a few days to a few weeks for the person to be transported here to Missouri to face charges in the county where the charges were originally issued.
