Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

possible indictment by the Grand Jury

I have been an informant with the DEA. The DEA wants me to do drug buys and for my cooperation they will not charge me. I have not been able to do what they want. Since they want results quickly the DEA has stated they will present evidence to the Grand Jury for an indictment to arrest me. If this does occur I want access to an attorney immediately. Thanks for your time.

Re: possible indictment by the Grand Jury

You should have had an attorney before now. Why would you ever trust the DEA agents? These are people who function only to obtain convictions and put people in prison. In some cases, I have had individuals "cooperate" with the DEA, but I have protected them by having the "deal" written up and signed by the U.S. Attorney so that we could obtain enforcement of the "deal" in Court if need be. If I were you I would retain the best criminal defense lawyer you can afford immediately. If you do not know one, you may call me for a consultation. I have been practicing thirty years and defended my first federal criminal client almost thirty years ago. No matter what you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck.
