I am in the unfortunate situation of being a Pedophile. I would rather not be one, but I must admit that I am.

I have never sexually assaulted or molested any minor. In fact, my only sexual partner is older than I am.

However, in my forays into cyberspace I've encountered what is generally called ''loli-con'' which is a Japanese term (derived from Lolita complex) referring to cartoon/CGI images of what would be child pornagraphy if the subjects were real.

Wikipedia and the legal websites I've read have done nothing to clarify the legality of this type of pornography.

To put it plainly, is this illegal? Is this child pornography?

In some jursdictions it is. In others it is not. The safe choice is the prudent path. Avoid any graphic depiction that includes specific reference to the subjects depicted being children or minors. It is not a crime to look young or to view womone who looks young. It is a crime to view minors in pornography. In come jursdictions it is a crime to possess, produce or transfer graphic depictions of minors. It may sound like splitting hairs, but that is how the law is differnet in different parts of the country.

In the past, I prosuecuted civilly a pornographer who attempted to avoid liability by making cartoon enhancements of photographs he had taken of minors. It did not work.

I hope that you are seeking treatment. If you find you cannot avoid looking at pornography and youth is your bent, try to stay with animation that does not specifically reference the under age status of the subject.
