Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
Hopefully this makes sense.
But my mom and dad are both going through things with the PD and court system here where we live and I just don't think anything they are doing is right or legal at all .
About 5 months ago the PD busted in our home armed putting my 10 year old sister and 15 year old brother and I on the ground my brother and I in cuffs continued downstairs in our home to my parents room where my mom was asleep and had to wake up with a gun in her face telling her to get up now with no warning or warrant or anything. Saying they we're searching for drugs (marijuana) they found nothing but some jars and that had the scent of it and some sandwich bags that had no scent but their claiming they were being used to distribute the drug. My father who they were looking for initially wasn't there that night so they took my mother to jail instead and contained her as long as they could legally. ( also they didn't leave a warrant at the house after leaving ) they waited til they had my mom in jail and she called the next day and told is we could come get the warrant to take to my moms attorney. Now the attorney was in trouble and being trailed by the PD here at that time too so I think he is not giving my mom the full help and information she needs. Cause now they still have my father in jail awaiting trail which was supposed to be today but they postponed it because they are pressuring my mom to testify against him saying he was selling marijuana since they broke in and found nothing . I need some help please I don't think what they are doing here is right at all

I believe you Mom has a right not to testify against her husband, if she is married to your father. It would be best to hire a different attorney if you have no faith in the present defense lawyer.
