Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

A man has a prior drug conviction on his record and is still on probation. he is in a house of which he had no knowledge of there being drugs and with 2 other men in which he had no knowledge of them being involved with drugs. the fed's rade the house and take in the 2 men for possession because they had been watching them, and took the man with the prior conviction that had no knowledge of any drug involvement. they hit him with conspiracy just because he has a prior conviction and he was basically in the wrong place at the wrong time. they people that are to be charged are not talking. what can be done to get this over with for the man that is just in for conspiracy? how long can they hold him?
