minor in possession
my 19 year old son was given a ticket for mip. Do we have to go to court or can this be taken care of before the court date. He was not given a breathilizer test, he had a can of beer in his hand walking down the street.

I would suggest that you hire an attorney. An alcohol related conviction on your son's record could havevery serious negative legal consequences for him later in life, and he should be able to avoid the conviction if he hires an attorney.
