Although there are statutes of limitations on insufficient funds check charges, and a warrant not timely served can be considered 'stale', a statute of limitations is tolled, or suspended, if the defendant is in hiding. This becomes a fact question: Have you been living openly, in state, under your own name? If you can prove this it might be a defense. Feel free to contact me if you need additional input.
