My nephew has been charged for stealing. beer at quick trip one can charge is under 5.00 charge second he was under 21 yrs old should I get court appointed attorney he has no record

You nephew may be eligible for an appointed attorney. However, it may be he or his parents that have to request it.

I would always prefer having a private attorney rather than a court appointed one if I could manage it. The private attorney can spend more time and give more personal attention to your nephew's case. Good luck.
