Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
I was a passenger when the driver was arrested for dwi. I was handcuffed and placed in the back of the car. The cop kept saying I was intoxicated but I kept telling him I wasn't it was just the medication I have to take before bed. He almost made me fall down the ditch, I hurt my leg, he hurt my back, shoulder, wrist and hand during this incident. He wouldn't let me stay at my house because there were no adults just my 16 year old and other siblings because again he said I was intoxicated. We got to the station about an hour later and they made me keep the restroom door open and still treated me like I was under arrest. I was never charged with anything because I didn't do anything. Is what they did to me legal at all?
