Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

For the past 6 years I have been required to get a letter from my son's school and this was granted and for over 6 years i have been able to pick up my son and attend all his school activities. In 2005 I was convicted of Injury to a Child in the state of Texas and 1 of my conditions of probation was to see a "sex therapist" this was after being accused of having a relationship with a 16 year old girl. Though the accussations were found false and the only thing i was guilty of was having a physical altercation with this female. Her parents asked for the stipulation. This is a charge that does NOT require you to register as a sex offender. I moved to missouri my home state and missouri changed my charge to make me register. My question is this. I am a single mother of a 16 year old son and after being granted permission for the last 6 years being that my son is one of the star basketball players, the superintendant called me the day after the last basketball game informing me that i was not allowed on the premises, is this right? How can I tend to my child if I am not allowed to be on the premises? Is there something I can do? I was already directed to write to the school board which I did but I never heard anything else. What can I do?

There are many things you might choose to do, too many to list them all here. You should consult direclty with counsel as to your options in both Missouri and Texas. You might need to have your Texas conviction expunged in order to get your Missouri conviction altered. or removed. You mgiht be able to just have your Missouri status changed. Once you get that straightened out, you should be in aposition to address the decision taken by the Superintendant. You might be a postion to contest that decision, without having your Convictions altered. But, you will need to consult direclty with counsel in your area to determine your options. You were wise to seek general information here. The smart thing now may be to get advice specific to the particular facts of your situation.
