Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

People place ads on internet sites stating they want to buy weed (420) or i place an ad on craigslist stating i got weed (420) for sale and people respond to my ad to purchase said product; quarter ounce for $100. if i sell grass, yard waste in a baggy to them, and they believe its marijuana, can i be arrested for this???

for example if i sell this yard waste to a undercover dea or polive officer, have i broken the law and can i b arrested?? or is this legal, and the jokes on them???

You might be liable of a civil tort and guilty of a crime. If you bought the grass seed, you are subject to the agreement on the back of the seed container. Your selling the product grass could violate your license to use the seed. It would be stupid to try to play such a gag on DEA agents or police officers in the manner you described. It is unlikely that an officer or agent would say that what they purchased was lawn turf and not canabis. It is also unlikely that any judge would believe that you advertised Weed for sale as a joke, and then did nto sell the marijuana to the officer or agent. You would therefore be found guilty.

It might be even dumber to try to sell turf and marijuana to a drug user, as there are not yet many gun control laws in place, and few drug criminals would obey them. Dead people don't get the last laugh.
