Re: Plea Bargain ordered by Judge

First of all, there is no "DA". There is a prosecuting attorney. I think people who use the term "DA" must have gotten it from television or the movies. Second of all, you have a constitutional right to a trial among many other constitutional rights you possess. I seriously doubt that any Judge Ordered the parties to enter into a plea bargain. It is more likely that the judge suggested it, and it very well might be in your own best interests. Still you have a right to go to trial and to take the consequences if you lose. By the way, it would be a mistake to go to trial without an attorney and you should discuss all of this with your attorney. If you don't have one, you should get one right away!
