Re: what is a plea bargin
A person charged with a criminal offense has a substantial number of Constitutional rights. In cases where it is likely that the prosecutor has enough evidence to convict, a person may be able to trade away his or her Constitutional rights by pleading guilty in return for which the prosecutor makes a recommendation to the Judge which, if accepted, benefits the person charged. Only an attorney who knows all of the facts from both sides will be able to negotiate a proper plea bargain or advise you whether to take one or not. Please consult with an attorney if you are charged with a crime. I would be willing to give you a free telephone consultation.
