if i was taken to the police station for an mip and issued a ticket do i have to have my rights read to me

If you were not informe dof yrou (Miranda) rights, you may be able to exclude a confession that you gave after being arrested. Not having your rights read to you is only a get of jail free issue on TV.

No. Law enforcement authorities only need to provide you the Miranda warnings if they are going to take a stement from you that they will then use in Court against you. If they do not need any statement from you in order to make their case, then they do not need to give you the warnings. By the way, if you have a Minor in Possession case pending against you, please take my advice and hire an attorney. Do not just plead guilty.
The negative consequences of taking a conviction on this charge can be very serious and can negatively effect many things in your life. An attorney should be able to either defend the charge or at least avoid a conviction being entered on your record. You may call me if you do not have an attorney.
