Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
Can I get of probation early
I had two charges I plead to forgery and possesion, both class c felonies. Received imposition of sentence, 3 years probation. I have no priors, have completed all aspects of probation, including community servie, paid all fines, no violations. I am college educated, having problems getting a good job in my career field because of background check. Do I have to serve the entire 3 years? Is there anyway to get off early. Probation officer has but me on min probation, do not have to report each month. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Re: Can I get of probation early
There are no guarantees, but in many counties it is possible to file a Motion for Early Termination of the Probation, and if the probation officer doesn't oppose it, and the prosecutor doesn't oppose it, some Judges will grant the Motion and let you off probation early. Most Judges do like to see you do a signicant portion of the probation term. Consult a lawyer in your area. Good luck.
