Re: Probation and Parol

If you have already left the state, then you are probably in violation of the conditions of your probation and the probation officer can seek to have your probation revoked by the Court. Depending upon the circumstances it is possible that you would be held in custody and then transferred back to Missouri to serve your sentence. If you have not already left the state, you need to talk with the probation officer about your opportunity for employment in another state. Sometimes it is possible for the Missouri Department of Probation and Parole to transfer the supervision of your probation to the corresponding probation department in another state. Sometimes, it is possible for your Missouri probation to be terminated early so then you could move without being on probation in either state. Please do not risk going to prison because of this.
