Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

Ok so here's my question! I have been sober from heroin for 21 months but have been on suboxone for 20 months an I caught a possession case which is why I also got sober. Well they offered me drug court but I had to get off my soboxone, Well I went Friday an the judge is like well your officially in the program but I haven't signed any of the paper work yet, I have to on Tuesday. So I'm withdrawing from my suboxone and my family feels my comfortable if my Dr. Wheened me off of my suboxone and they really don't want me around other addicts. I called my case manager about dropping out an she was rather quite rude an saying she couldn't answer these questions. I no she doesn't want me to drop out because they get grant money. Everything I've looked up says I can drop out when I want and it'll go back to my original case pending and stuff. An since I haven't filled out and paper work I should be able to drop out right?

You choose when to stop medical treatment. You just have to live with the consequences. If your attorney tells the judge and prosecutor that you've decided that you cannot stay clean by stopping your treatment, they probably will not kick you out of Drug Court. But, your probation opportunities may be limited. Therefore, discuss your issues with hue attorney before telling the workers anything else.

It is my opinion that with drug addiction sobriety is the most important factor when making decisions. This is especially true with heroin. Although the best course for you legally may be to attend drug court, if it is not the best choice for your sobriety then it may be the proper decision to withdraw and deal with your case through the court system. It is important that you work with an attorney who you trust to give you the best information possible. You must tell your attorney what your priorities are in this case. I do not believe drug court is for everyone, and if it is not for you then tell your attorney.
