Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
Recently there has been an incident at my house involving two of my sons and my husband. They arrested my 21 year old son for 2nd degree statutory rape, my oldest son was arrested while on probation and drug court for child endangerment because he lied about his brother being home and got very mouthy with a cop, and because my husband said that they would have to get a search warrant they're charging him with harboring a runaway and because he ran out to see what was going on when they handcuffed my oldest son who was on the ground and he was also yelling at the police because they were yelling at him, they're charging him with assaulting a police officer, but are going to charge him at a later date because he began having chest pains due to his bad heart. I know that this is a lot of information, and there's more, but I wanted to know what I can expect here. My husband is a nurse and I am terrified that he is going to prison.
1 Answer from Attorneys
Obviously, each person charged needs to hire an attorney. I believe that it could be the same attorney. But, your family is looking at thousands of dollars in fees. Depending upon various factors, it may be possible to keep everyone out of jail, and save your husband's nursing license. I have handled cases like this for over 37 years.
