Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
What are my rights as a victims family member. A man was supposedly convicted of a sexual misconduct act and released on bond, but while on probation he committed a double homicide and confessed to it. Although it is still under investigation, is the person who bonded them just as much at fault for that crime because they got him out of jail?
1 Answer from Attorneys
It was the Hudge that let the person out. The person that paid the bond amount was nit personally responsible fir tge actions if the Defendant, unless the judge made that a condition of the bond.
Depending upin your relationship to the victim, you may have a civil claim against the person thst committed the murder. You should consult directly with a civil practice attorney in your area to find out.
Good luck
