Hi. I am a Missouri injury attorney that handles claims throughout the entire state. A few additional details would be needed to assess whether there are sufficient grounds to establish a negligence case against the school. How was the school informed about the student's problematic character (in writing, orally?)? Is this a public or private school? Also, what type of incidents was the student involved in prior to the assault? It may be possible to bring a case against the school for injuries caused to the student by the assault. Moreover, a claim would also be available against the student who was responsible for causing the assault. Separate claims for battery and/or civil assault could be possible, though a few additional details are needed to make an accurate determination. My e-mail is [email protected]. Thanks.
