Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

Shop Lifting Accomplice

My son 18 accompanied a friend who robbed game controls at a Walmart. He is accused of shoplifting accomplice. He did not rob and was not in favor of doing but stayed there while his friend did it. He has never been in trouble before. What can we expect as a sentence from the judge? Do you have any advise for us?

Re: Shop Lifting Accomplice

Your son needs an attorney. A conviction on his record on this charge will have very serious and long-lasting negative consequences. An attorney may be able to defend the charge or at least negotiate a plea bargain which will keep your son from taking a conviction. Depending upon where the charge is pending, I may be able to help your son myself, or refer you to someone who can. Please feel free to call me for a consultation if you do nto already have an attorney.
