In my case I check the status on case net, it says the other party, that her attorney has filed a motion for summary judgement, what does this mean?

Re: Summary Judgement

It means that the other side has tried to convince the judge that the case (or apart of it) does nto neeed to go further, and can be decided now. This is common for defendants to allege that the plaintiff's case is wrong in some procedural way. Sometimes Plaintiffs bring a Summary Judgement motion for default judgement where a defendant failed to respond to requests for admission. In any case, if you are aparty to the suit, you should have been sent acopy of the Motion, as soon as it was filed with the court. If the motion was field more than five days ago, you need to get acopy of it on yrou own, and/or immeditely inform the court that you were not served with a copy of the motion.

Good luck
