Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

I was told that the court's get your address from the DOR or Department of Revenue when they send you a summons. In 2006 I renewed my drivers license and than in 2007 I moved. My drivers license's still has my old address but my personal property tax information and state income tax has my new address since I pay and file taxes each year and keep that information current. What address would the DOR have on files and what address would be given to the courts?

Thanks

It depends upon the reason for the ocurt to obtain your address. If the DoR is suspending yrou license, they will likely use the addres son your driver's license (obligation to change w/in 30 days of moving) If they are going after you for back taxes, they will likely use the address listed on your tax returns. It is unusual for the ocurt to look for yrou address. Usually the party suign you (prosecutor, Dor, Private citizen, credito, etc.) But, the court can seek either address, should they have the need to locate you..

Good luck
