Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

was told i stole something when i did not

i was visted buy a police officer today, stating i stoled somthing that i did not take. i dont know what to do i had my rights read to me and told them what i knew. i have a back ground from when i was young and there going with that. there is no proff i stole anything just my back ground and the police say its because of it im being blamed for it. what can i do to prove that i did not take what there saying i took?

the people that is saying i took something is my old boss. was walked out with the bosses wife. and she had took me home.

what can i do ?

If you are charged with a crime, hire a criminal defense attorney, the best one you can afford not the cheapest one you can find. And, in the future do not make any statements to police or detectives or investigators. You have a Constitutional right to remain silent, use it!
