Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

What type of action can I take for ex-boyfriend refusing to return personal property including vehicle in Missouri? Vehicle is registered, licensed in my name and also the payments for the vehicle are in my name and paid for monthly by me. Ex stole keys prior to moving out and refuses to return keys/vehicle saying it was a gift. It was not a gift and there is nothing that states this was a gift.

If he stole your car, report it to the police. You may also be able to sue for theft or conversion in civil court. If you're confused, hire an attorney to help you.
