It might require you appearing before the judge, in order to get released from your obligtion. If you allege that circumstances have changed, and that you no longer feel you can attest to the defendant's likelihood to appear at future hearings, the judge may force the defendant to secure new bonding. You might have to notice up the bonding agent and the defendant (and his attorney) in order to get the jduge to do it.
