Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
I understand that if a person is convicted of a felony in Missouri, in some cases that person would be eligible to be released on bond from the MDOC pending an appeal. Would a D.W.I. Chronic Offender fall under that eligibility?

It is theoretically possible for a defendant on a DWI chronic offender case to get released on bail or bond during their appeal. Obviously, since there has been a conviction, the bond amount would be much higher than a bond for trial. It can be enitely up tpo the judge to determine whether to allow the release on bond, as the appellate court rarely, if ever, will issue a release Order. The defendant should first consult with the attorney that represented them at trial.
Good luck
